Sunderland's new boys can earn their Spurs
A pretty mixed bag for Sunderland’s international brigade in the past week but now it is back to the serious business of climbing the league table.

The visit of Tottenham would normally be viewed as a tough task as they have been knocking in the door of the top five for several years without making that breakthrough.
However, with Harry Kane having left his scoring boots at home and with three points from four games Sunday in front of the Sky cameras may well have been seen as a more winnable game.
However Kane clearly had packed his shooting books in his England kitbag having hit two good goals against San Marino and Switzerland. We have to hope he has put his club boots back on and his premier league drought continues.
Dick Advocaat can now shuffle his pack as he sees fit and the fact that Adam Johnson seems to be set to return a lot quicker is also a boost.
We will finally get to see the shape that Dick has decided is best suited for the campaign and on the whole what he sees as his first choice starting eleven.
Fabio Borini is likely to play in the central striking role as he has been agitating in the press for the positon ever since he returned to the Stadium of Light.
However, one thing, amongst many, I did like about Borini in his loan spell was his work rate and the way he tracked back and put a shift in week after week.
I think what the squad does have now is some options and in Borini, Defoe and Lens there is a plenty of movement in the final third of the pitch and I hope we will see opposition defences being pulled here and there and that the midfield three can then exploit the gaps.
AS with many Sunderland fans I continue to live in hope and have to hope that Dick will pull off a tactically masterstroke and mould a team that will be a marked improvement to that which we have seen in the first month of the campaign.
I will put my neck out and say Sunderland will not6tch their first win of the season with Borini and his hand biting salute to the fore.
