Arsenal 1-0 Newcastle - The Fans View
Arsenal moved two points clear of Leicester at the top of the Premier League table with a win over Newcastle.
Unconvincing Gunners looked set for a point on a soggy Emirates Stadium pitch until defender Laurent Koscielny came to the rescue with a close-range poked winner in the 72nd minute.
The Magpies should have come away with at least a point having been on the front-foot for much of the second half.

Here's what the fans of both teams thought on social media:
3 huge points today, it's games like that when playing poor and taking all 3 points that make the difference and win the title #Arsenal

Would love to know @AlanShearer's thoughts on Mitrovic! Are fans right to give up on him already? The lad has far too much potential! #NUFC

Not at our best but a big three points. Chelski made winning ugly an art form last year. I'll take it. On to the next. #Arsenal

#NUFC showed great fight and spirit today, shame that can't be said on a regular basis. Need a guaranteed goal scorer in January... Austin?
