Is this the striker to finally say 'yes' to West Ham
It has been a difficult transfer window for West Ham thus far in terms of finding a new striker. There may, however, be a glint of light on the horizon in the form of Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic.
Mandzukic's current club Juve have recently splashed out in the region of €90m on Gonzalo Higuain, meaning that playing time for the Croatian could be severely limited next season.
West Ham have been in Contact with Juve over a move for Mandzukic and are optimistic that a deal will be possible.
It just so happens that Juventus will play West Ham United in a friendly in London next month, giving them the ideal opportunity to discuss terms.
West Ham have been struggling to find a new striker this summer, having seen moves for Carlos Bacca, Simone Zaza and Vincent Janssen all fail.
Juve only signed Mandzukic from Atletico Madrid a year ago for €19m.

Ok so we have been turned down by what seems like half a dozen or so strikers already this summer all of them stating they want champions league football.so firstly why did Batsuiy (however his name is spelt) join Chelski when they are not guarantied CL next season and wont get it if they play like last year (i know we can all dream)but it has been widely reported of how much the Hammers have to buy a striker what i do not understand is why we don't get a player like Mandzukic who it is stated above is £19M but then also go for a player like Mario Gomes who again is a proven striker
ReplyDeleteThe whole Carlos Bacca affair is embarrassing now.Time to pull the plug on that one.Looks like Calleri is about to sign and he looks a real player plus either Mandzukic,Gomes or even Ben Yedder and tell Bacca to go F... himself.
ReplyDeleteWe could maybe focus on Slimani the algerian would link well with Feghouli i heard he was on Arsenals radar would be a good option ! Forget Bacca obviously doesnt want to come i would rather focus on right back position if we found one then Antonio could always play up front!

ReplyDeleteMaybe the club are being slightly ambitious with our targets.. we can't seem to attract the top names yet as they all seem to be signing for the established 'big' teams. If we can qualify for the CL next season we will see this change. This season is more important than last as we need to show we are really moving forward & can challenge for the silverwear.
