Tottenham snap up Wanyama as Champions League squad begins to take shape
Tottenham confirmed on Thursday night the signing of Southampton midfield maestro Victor Wanyama for a reported £11m fee.
The Kenyan penned a five year deal with the north London side over the past few days and had previously confirmed via interviews and social media that a deal was all but done.
Wanyama joins England's latest star Eric Dier and Belgian Mousa Dembele in the Spurs midfield next season as the club embark on their second Champions League campaign.
Tottenham first made a move for the dynamic midfielder last summer but their advances were rebuffed by the Saints board and now departed coach Ronald Koeman.
Since Koeman's departure things appeared to have changed and Spurs finally get their man, ending a two year chase and are now putting together a midfield capable of matching the best.
Tottenham fans - happy with the signing of Wanyama? Where else does Spurs' squad need to be strengthened? Leave your thoughts below!
