Leeds Chasing Super Striker

Reports in the press this morning suggest that Leeds United are set to launch a £3m bid for Ternana striker Felipe Avenatti after missing out on Chris Wood and Clayton Donaldson in the transfer market.

The 22-year-old started his career with River Plate before joining Ternana in 2013. Free agent Nicky Maynard has also been looked at, but he's set to join Nottingham Forest instead.

Avenatti scored 13 goals in 39 games in Serie B last season, catching the eye of United, Aston Villa and Italian outfit Cagliari.
