Chelsea Update: Falcao, Begovic, Pogba and Turan

Radamel Falcao is expected to sign for Chelsea (yes, finally) after he and his uncle had confirmed earlier that a deal had taken place. Falcao will take a near 50% wage cut to complete his loan move to Chelsea. This was agreed in order to not disturb the current wage structure Chelsea has with it’s players. Hazard and Fabregas currently lead the wage list with 200,000 pounds a week. Diego Costa is third with 185,000 and Falcao would come in at fourth with 180,000 ppw.

Done Deal

Chelsea are still pursuing Asmir Begovic, after Petr Cech’s departure which has left Thibaut Courtois as the only experienced goalkeeper at the club. Chelsea have re-bid for 8 million pounds, but Stoke are yet to respond. Begovic’s status as a home-grown player is one of the key reasons Chelsea are still pursuing him.

Paul Pogba’s current future remains anybody's guess. Just minutes after it was confirmed that Pogba will sign for Champions League winners Barcelona in the summer of 2016, Manchester City came in with a 71 million pound bid. So we’ll still have to wait on that one.

Arda Turan is expected to announce which club he is signing for this Friday. Turan had tweeted earlier this week that he is in talks with 3-4 clubs and he would update us himself. Turan also pointed out not to believe any of the rumours. The three clubs believed to have shown interest in the player are Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool.
