Birmingham City's 2013/14 - A Season Lost

The 2013/13 season for Birmingham City fans is one to forget. With only 2 wins at home in the league this season, against Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday. In the past St Andrews has been a fortress, with many teams going away with nothing.

The attendances at home have also dropped to an average of 15,000 per game, which is a real surprise bearing in mind that we are England's second city, with a population upwards of one million people.

I'm sure most fans around the country will have noticed that the Blues have dropped from a mid-table Premier League club, to a Championship team balling relegation and most of this, in my opinion, has been caused by the owners at Birmingham. Carson Yeung, who is the club Chairman owning 25% of the club, has recently been sentenced to six years in a Hong Kong prison.

The club are still searching for a possible new owner to come in and buy Yeung's 25% of the club, with a meeting taking place last month to talk on a preferred bidder, but still no news has come. This has been another feature of the 2013/14 season, fans have became rightfully angry with the club, with a lack of information coming from Hong Kong.

We wait and see...

  1. Firstly, Carson Yueng is NOT the blues Chairman. He owns no shares at all in the club.

Secondly, it's BIHL that own the club.
