Warrior required for Barnsley Football Club

A couple of days have passed since our match away at Huish Park to face Yeovil.
I'm sure Danny Wilson will have had time to reflect on the days performance and the shortcomings of the team display on the day.
Connor Hourihane had once again put our noses in front with a superb thirty yard strike.
At half time the reds were in control of this match they were sharp and lively and in particular Keith Treacy was a constant danger to the Yeovil defence.
However a calf injury forced him to be replaced by Dale Jennings, Jennings had been a menace the week before tormenting Gillingham's back line with some quick pace direct runs.
So I anticipated that this would continue and that Keith's injury would have little impact on the game.
However, this game was a real tale of two half's.
After the break, Yeovil chose to be vastly more direct in there play, using the height within their team to great effect.
Barnsley's classy midfield were often overlooked by the determined Yeovil side, who were now playing to their physical strengths.
The constant pressure paying off, when Martin Cranie deflected a cross into his own goal.
Special praise must be shown to Adam Davies in goal who was excellent throughout.
His kicking often lets him down, but his overall game improves week after week.
My warning to Danny Wilson who had admitted that this direct approach had caused his team problems is simple.
League 1 is full of teams like Yeovil.
The scouts from alternative clubs in our league are watching the games and will quickly submit their reports to their hierarchy.
They will have suggested various ways to nullify our teams attacking prowess and will also have mentioned ways that their teams can be decisive in there attacking play against us.
It leads me to the conclusion that we need a midfield warrior a brutal ball winner in our squad a poor man's Roy Keane,to break up play and allow our talented quality players time to get on the ball and shine.
I also believe that we need a big man upfront , someone to hold up the ball, it would allow our midfield the opportunity to join the attacking play who in turn will bring our attackers to the plate.
It also eases the burden on our defence, which had been under continued pressure by wave after wave of opposition attacks.
Now I'm not saying these players have to play week in week out, but surely it's good to have options on the bench that allows Danny the choice to change the flow of play in our favour.
Footballs a game of opinion, I'd be pleased to hear what other reds fans think.
