29 June – Everton Ladies 1-2 Chelsea Ladies – Chelsea Ladies produced a dominant performance to beat bottom side Everton as the Women’s Super League resumed. Eniola Aluko and new signing Ana Borges scored the goals for Chelsea.
30 June – Wallace loaned to Vitesse Arnhem – Chelsea’s young Brazilian full-back Wallace will spend next season on loan with Vitesse Arnhem in the Eredivisie.
01 July – Diego Costa agreement reached – Chelsea have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid for the transfer of Diego Costa, with Chelsea meeting the buy-out clause for the Spanish international.
01 July – Four depart Chelsea – Ashley Cole, Samuel Eto’o, Hilario and Sam Hutchinson have all left the club at the end of their contracts.
01 July – New contract for Mark Schwarzer – Mark Schwarzer has signed a new deal with the club for the coming season.
05 July – Season loan for Thorgan Hazard – German Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach have taken Thorgan Hazard on loan for the forthcoming season.
07 July – Arsenal Ladies 3-0 Chelsea Ladies – Chelsea Ladies suffered a heavy defeat against their Arsenal counterparts in the FA WSL Continental Cup Group One match.
07 July – Bertrand Traore continues at Vitesse – Chelsea’s Burkina Faso midfielder Bertrand Traore will spend next season at Vitesse Arnhem having scored 3 goals in 13 appearances for them in the second half of last season.
09 July – Mario Pasalic signs – Chelsea have signed 19 year-old Croatian midfielder Mario Pasalic from Hadjuk Split. Pasalic was named in Croatia’s provisional 30-man squad for the World Cup, but didn’t make the final 23.
10 July – Home friendly with Real Sociedad – Chelsea have announced a pre-season friendly with Real Sociedad to be played at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday 12 August. A full list of Pre-season friendlies can be seen below.
13 July – Chelsea Ladies 13-0 London Bees – No it’s not a typo! Chelsea Ladies confirmed their place in the last four of the FA WSL Continental Cup with a resounding victory over London Bees. Rachel Williams scored a hatrick with the other goals coming from Ji So-Yun (2), Jackie Groenen (2), Drew Spence (2), Ana Borges, Emma Wilhelmsson, Laura Coombs and Atlanta Primus.
14 July – Live TV fixtures announced – After what seems an eternity, the first batch of live televised games have been announced by Sky and BT Sport. Chelsea will feature seven times before the end of November.
