Meet The New Boss...

To borrow a line from The Who’s ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’., ‘meet the new boss, same as the old boss.’
Now I know a lot of Canaries fans are worried about the appointment of Neil Adams as the permanent manager of Norwich City, in view of his perceived lack of experience. But hey, everybody’s got to start somewhere.
Admittedly, Neil had 5 ultimately unsuccessful games in charge at the end of last season, but what did we expect? At least he managed to change the squad mentality for those games.
There are other good things too. From last season he knows which players he wants, which players he can trust and more than this, where the gaps in his team are. He’s also Norwich through and through and finally from his duties managing the Under-18 team, he knows which of the youth players can be expected to make the grade.
Add to the mix, a yet to be appointed director of football and I think the future’s bright for The Canaries. Gelling together a mix of seasoned professionals with youngsters desperate to impress under the guidance of a manager with new ideas and possibly a wily old fox to guide him, suggests to me good times will be just around the corner. Maybe not next season, but watch out for a couple of years time.
